I cannot say what it is you have done wrong but this has absolutely nothing to do with this style, provided you have opted to install a NEW style and have named it then it cannot change other styles....

You can simply delete my code in the postbit templates, but you will need to do some css and stylevar work to make it look pretty, a lot of borders, shadows and background colours have been removed...
