Can someone please help me get rid of the white bars behind these icons?

I cannot figure out why the social networking icons have the light bar above them. I inspected them in Firebug to see if I could figure it out, but I just don't know enough CSS.

any users who had the sidebar collapsed before commenting out the code will have a blank space where the sidebar should be located.

how do we force the sidebar to re-open for those who had it...

this did not make the sidebar reappear after it has been closed. tested in IE8 and FF 3.6.3

any suggestions other than restoring the collapse button to restore the sidebar?

Footer container - border controls?

whatever code defines the footer container (the box that holds the footer links, style dropdown, etc.) does not seem to have a stylevar to change the border color and thickness.

4.0.3 Background shading of last page number gone - SOLVED

just went from 4.0.2 to 4.0.3...

assume a thread is ten pages. in the "What's New" listing, that thread should show page numbers 1 2 3...10

the first page numbers still have background...
