Registration in to groups?

I need my users to sign up for 2 or 3 groups.

Is there anything out there that does that? I have searched but could only find something where I would have to do some coding and I'm not any good...

I can only uninstall 2.2 through manage products. I uninstalled it and reinstalled only 2.2: uploaded files and imported product-ka_ultimate_sidecolumn_2-2.xml after deleting usc_upgrade.php.
