Favicon showing up for www.site.com but now site.com ???

I recently created a favicon.ico for my site and it's only showing up when I type www.mysite.com.

When I type just mysite.com and leave off the 'www.' , the favicon is not displayed.

Altering the header link - how?

At one point I managed to edit the header to remove the Links, Members List, Calendar, Today's Posts, etc, but I can't remember how to do this.
