HELP - something is wrong with my forum

That's just it - they can! My admins have seen 2 people reply to threads that have been placed into the Archived area. Those users do NOT have access to that area as they are not admins and yet...

I have 3.6.8 p2 with quite a few extra hacks. I would like to upgrade 3.8 but not sure how, can I just jump over 3.7 and do I need to upgrade all those hacks or will they be fine?
