Mysql error
 
What is this error:

Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (61)

Sysops are on vacation, is there any method for me to fix this?

Check if mysqld is running.
If not, (re)start it.

How can i do that? I don't have access to that serverlevel. It's dramatic because all hits generate a mysql error and i have no idea when the sysop(s) will be back.

Can i force a mysql restart as a cliënt? Even if i have to make delibirate a crash to enforce that, it's welcome.

If you don't have root access via SSH, or at least some Frontend (Webmin, etc.) to (re)start mySQL or reboot the Server you're out of luck.
