Hot Threads/Topics Page
 

Would anyone know how to generate a page (much like New Posts Page) that would list all the HOT THREADS on your forums? I'm actually surprised this hasn't already been created. I poked around vb.org and was unable to find anything via search, "hot threads".

Not a bad idea actually for a mod.

Threads are considered hot when they hit a certain amount of admin selectable views or replies. I am not sure what the query would be to pull the admin setting for it but you could probably achieve something along the lines by using a script with hard coded values.

I think you might want to tag it onto vb's search functions though since I am sure it would be intesive if ran alot. You could probably do the query once or twice a day via cron and keep the list on a php page for members to look at.

Define "hot thread" pls. thread got most views or most replies?

Most replies.. it's the same value that make the folder icon have flames on it.. I think that's based on replys.
