Thoughts on this?
I'm building a new site that's primary focus will be for users to submit reviews. However I'm going to add in a forum (vBulletin) for members to discuss the reviews and what not. Here is the point that I've come to that I would like your thoughts and opinions on.
I'm wondering if I should require users to be registered and logged in in order to submit reviews and if so, should they be registered through the forums or through an independent user system? The system I built is not using vBulletin in any way as of right now and I really would like to keep it separate for the most part as I'm not looking to build my own portal. What are your thoughts and opinions on this? Thanks. :) |

First off, you shouldn't have them seperate. I mean VB and your review program. Get a copy of Review Post and use the hack to integrate them. And yes, they should be registered before allowed to give a review. Otherwise you'll get too many jokers in there if your site gets busy.

Having looked around a bit I don't see this "Review Post" anywhere. Is it here on vb.org or somewhere else?
