Post Tree within a Thread! SUPERIOR Navigation.

This would be most userful for navigating within a thread.

A post tree would be like a site map but just of all the posts in a thread, listed with a small bullet or box next to them. It would be listed like:

Thread[list=1][*][*][*][*][/list=1]

And after each post could be the author of the thread, for example:

Thread[list=1][*]Neo[*]Razor[*]Neo[*]Razor[*]..[/list=1]

Anyway, when you click on that persons name it will immediately take you to their post. Another thing that could be included in the tree is the date of the post, next to the persons name.

How does it work, well it could work in many ways, but I think the best would have the post tree appear in a popup window using javascript, or side frame, when clicking a link in the thread (the link would reside in showthread.php).

I suppose you wouldn't really call this a tree actually, since it doesn't branch off. But, well, more of a list. ;)

Yeah thats true, unless you add page numbers down at the bottom of this popup.

Then limit it to maybe 20 posts per page..
