Getting posting error when using Chrome
 

Hey guys,

This just started happening in the last couple weeks. if you make a post using Chrome you get the pop up message asking if you want to navigate away from the page.

I have disabled the autosave feature and have tried disabling all the plug ins using the config file. I have tried a few other things as well with in the server and I have cleared the cache, updated the counters to no avail.

I am not sure what to try next.

I created a test user but will delete it after today so if anyone wants to try please feel free. The site is musclemecca.com and it is running the latest 4.2 patch

I was thinking of changing the cookie prefix. I am not sure what else to try.

Ok, is ok when I disable ajax. Only problem is I do not want to disable ajax. :)

Do you have the latest version of Chrome installed? Is this just happened to you when using Chrome or are other members of your forum also having this same problem when using Chrome? This sounds like it might be a Chrome issue.

I believe I have the latest version and yes, it was happening to others but I am not sure now since I disabled Ajax. I know now it is working for me but I haven't heard from others yet.

Site is working ok now as long as Ajax is disabled. I have not figured out what is causing the Ajax issue though. The issue happens on all the themes and also when the plugs are disabled.

This has happened to me a few times in the past my Man ..I posted about this on someone elses thread about them having this issue as well ... I think sometimes the browser's updates screw things up ... I wonder if you and I both have any of the same mods that would be causing this ... of course it would have to be a mod that is active on that script ..know what i mean?

I think for me it's either the "Canned Replies" or "Similar Threads on Thread Creationg"

I know that with the Similar Threads mod sometimes it freezes the screen and the auto save triggers but there is nothing being saved ...it wont allow me or others to starting adding anything until it feels like it ...

The canned reply does the same thing ...

Perhaps try on a unmodified default style with all mods disabled.

Thanks guys, I have had the similar threads mod for a very long time and I tried to run the site without the hooks and still had the issue.

What do you have set for ACP --> Settings --> Options --> Server Settings and Optimization Options --> Use Remote jQuery

Use remote is set to Google right now. I used to have a url there though. What do you recommend bro?
