Custom Avatar issue
Hi Guys,
I've just re-migrated my forum back to a different directory on my server, but for some reason it's uploading the custom avatar, but converting to .GIF File format. Because of this, it's trying to find a .JPEG or .JPG image, and outputting as a broken link because the uploaded avatar is .GIF. Is there a way to change the upload setting to either keep it as a .JPEG, .JPG, or code the forum to find the file as a .GIF? This issue is irritating me, as there are no settings in CP to edit the file format. Thanks, Ricky |
What image processor are you using? AdminCP > Settings > Options > Image Settings
Currently it's set to GD. The option is None, GD or ImageMagick 6.
Sounds like your GD doesn't have JPG support then, if you have imagemagick available you should switch to it.
It does state that i need a valid filepath for imagemagick, as an amateur - what does this actually mean? I'm a little vague in that area of the CP, i usually don't touch anything that i have no idea what it changes.
Thanks for the prompt reply by the way! |
Webhost should be able to give that to you.
Will raise a ticket with my host later about it. Thanks for the help, i'll be in touch if it doesn't work, hopefully we can diagnose the issue further :)
Still an issue. My host only uses GD.
