Forum tabs with IE compatibility?

Well I've found some Modifications for VB3 that uses tabbed forum display, which I plan to use for one of my VB forums:

They seem to have a problem with IE though, as the tabs display vertically instead of horizontally. Is there a way to fix it? Please help.
