Can you do dynamic meta tags in VB4.1.5
 
Hi,

I am using VB4.1.5 and the meta description and keyword tags are the same for all pages.

Is there any mod/plugin that will insert dynamic meta tags so that the thread shows up in the search engines with a proper description unique to that thread.

I see that VBSEO can do it but was hoping for something cheaper as the forum is only just starting out.

Threads do not have the generic meta description and keywords. They are generated dynamically for each thread.

Either that or I'm seeing things on the sites I manage. :D

Hi,

I have discovered the problem. The threads get a unique description for search engines but it seems they get an identical description for Facebook liking purposes. If you look at the source of a sample thread on my forum:

The description is generic and when I like the page for Facebook it just uses a generic description. Any idea on how to fix this?
