peace ya'll,
i would like to add a facebook login button to my forum and i have made an application but i am not sure where to add the code. will this work with 3.8.6? could you help me please? thanks :)

There is an existing "Facebook Connect" mod, it has been out for some time.

i thought that didn't work anymore? about to try it right now thanks :)

Honestly I have no idea I never tried it, I just remember seeing it...

Putting the login button somewhere isn't really an issue- anywhere in the navbar template with a conditional to show only to people not logged in is easy...

The hard part is to take the info provided by Facebook and create a new member based on it.'

By "made an application" I assume you mean a facebook app, and have a facebook app id... Unfortunately this won't magically let users login and make them members.
