Change gif to png icons... how to do that?
Hello,
sorry for my bad english, I'm Italian. :) I really need your help! I'm trying to make a new graphic layout for my forum and I would like to have all my icons in PNG and not in GIF. So they will be transparent and easilier to adapt to my background. Where do I have to change in the code the file extentions? Or is it a too hard work to do? I've searched for any discussion about that but I couldn't find one. Would someone be willing to help me please? :) Thank you! :) |
You will need an image editor if you want to convert your gif to transparent png's.
Something like Photoshop. Changing file extensions wouldnt make it transparent. |
I think I'm reading that Bucky does know that, but is wondering if vB would need to know this to link to a file.png vs file.gif. Trying to figure this out as well. Any pointers, would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Just rename your .png's to .gif. No changes in vB needed.
