How do they do this.
 
Can anyone tell me how http://www.themaddenlab.com/community/ have a different post icon per topic, I have been searching for ages and can't find it.

forum manager > select forum to Edit > Prefix for Forum Status Images

You can read up on those in the manual or do a search here because it's been discussed quite a few times.

How do I post an image there though because it doesn't accept <img src="......." />

Upload the images you want to images/statusicon/ on your server.

Go to forum manager and assign with images/statusicon/picname.gif
