How do you submit a plugin to vbulletin.org?

How do you submit a plugin to vbulletin.org?
Do you just create a thread in the mods forum?
Also on the right hand side some developers put a "donate" link.
How are they able to do that? I went to submit a thread in the mod section and everything looked just like any other thread.

Moved to correct forum. Just uploaded files like you normally would, post within the mod forums. It will redirect you to a mod settings page. Set those and your mod is inserted in the "mod" database. The donate link is set within your user options I b elieve.

The donate link is controlled by a setting in your usercp.

and if you don't mind having negative opinion, do not focus on donations if you release stuff... this is the wrong way to do it... 95% of the time, nobody donate... that's all. if you think it will give you profit on your releases, just release them commercially on your own site...

It's been a long time since I released a mod here, but I remember having to submit the thread with screenshots & attachments first. Once that was done, you would click on "edit post" and you were presented with all your mod options. (version, supported, plugins, etc...)

The mod options screen is now presented automatically after you submit your modification thread.
