Uploading vB to server

OK im going to try and explain this. I have 1 server with multiple domain names on it one of them have a vB license already and I currently bought another license.

To my question it ask

Quote:

# tools.php - This file must be uploaded to the admincp folder and allows you to perform certain tasks should your board go down or you accidentally lock yourself out of the Admin Control Panel. This file must be deleted immediately after use or it will cause a SEVERE security problem.
if this was done once already for my other domain name would I need to do this again to upload my new forums to my new domain name....Now rmeber all my domain names are on 1 server

It only affects the installation that it is being run on. Tools.php is rarely used.

To edit the config.php file, you will need to open the file in a text editor such as Windows? WordPad. (Note that we do not recommend that you use Windows? Notepad to edit config.php, as Notepad has problems displaying the line breaks in some file types.)
When i goto opening it in wordpro it and I know EXACTLY where the confg file is, but doesnt show up when i click open to locate it in the word pro anyonek now why this is happening ?

Use wordpad.

Start > Programs > Accessories > WordPad

Make sure you select Files of Type: All Files when looking for the config file to open. Or just drag the config file into an empty wordpad and it should appear.

i drag it and it just drags the icon in and and only shows the icon.

where is

select Files of Type: All Files

Click Open

Then you get something like: http://sts.jhu.edu/images/windows/wordpad_open_menu.png (Its near the bottom)

Yes, don't upload anything from the do_no_upload folder unless you've been told you have to.
