help a noob out
 
I have a main forum with a login, and of course my vbulletin.

If I change my login php script to access register users using the mysql database will I cause any security risks? I am a n00b with all of this.

Also whre is the database for vbulletin that stores all the usernames and passwords if there is no problem with this :o

You should use the datamanager to handle users as there are more things to do than just add the user to the table. I believe articles exist for this.
