Incorrect settings in your config.php would be my suggestion. Check the database name and password.

EDIT: Which snipet do I edit, and what would I edit it as?

The file config file is in the includes folder, and you would make sure the mysql username / password and database are set to the correct mysql details for the DB.

What type of hosting are you on?

I edited the database name to the correct one, and the mysql username and password to the login for my cPanel.. I can't remember if mysql user/pass is different from cPanel or not. If so, what is it?

The MySQL username and password are based on what you set them. You can delete the username (make sure its not the DB) and re-create with a password you know. Or send me a PM, I'll do a quick fix for you.

I've never used IPB, but I love vBulletin. After 5 + years of using it, still finding new things I can do with it :).
