Phantom Database-Hacker???
I checked my cpanel and there is a new database on my server with the name extension _frgn1. There is also a username with the same extension added to that database. I am fairly new to vbulletin, so I'm at a loss for where this came from.
Is this the work of a hacker, or would a mod I installed have created a database? I am the only admin., so how could this have been added?? The reason I checked my cpanel was because my site has been running slow, but most of the time the server load is under 2. any suggestions? |
You shouldn't be able to create databases if you are not an admin of either the site or the cpanel. Someone guessed your password?

what exactly does the database contain?
passwords? your user's emails? |
The database is the root of your forum :).

Root of my forum?.......geez, I feel kinda dumb. Thanks everyone.

If it's a cPanel server.. were any new Scripts added?
I recall _adns1 (etc) on mine, after playing with Fantastico. |
