How do I ban a timezone......
 

I am having a problem with a guy registering on my forum and posting web links and names to porn sites. He is from the Eniwetok, Kwajalein inlands and is in the GMT-12:00 time zone. I have been able to stop him from posting but he registers at least once a day under a new name and IP but he can not change his tome zone so I am able to ID him and ban him. Is there a way that I can ban people from registering from this location. Any help will be appreciated as this is a problem. Thanks, the Wizard..........:)

what will happen to other potential new users when the world turns? you could always go with the miserable users hack or set your forum up so that you have to approve all new registrations prior to them posting. that would solve it.

Thanks, I do approve all new registrations first but he continues to keep trying. This is the forth month now. There are no other people in that time zone of interest anyway.

Noticed the same on the forum I'm involved with: all the spambots use that same timezone when registering or otherwise being registered.

I'm not 100% certain, but with our forum, there appear to be thousands of sleeper spambots that managed to get past both the image verification as well as the email activation [aka human assited registrations], all of the spammers register with the same timezone, now if only adminCP allowed me to do a search based on timezone and then allowed me to select all of the results, and apply a ban to all those spambot usernames...

If I have some time, I might create a hack for it.

After doing some research on his IP, it seems he is also responsible for hacking into investment accounts. I would really like to stop this if there is a way to ban this location. Any help would be great.

It seems some of the spammers have caught onto the time zone thing and are now using our forum's default time zone, but there are still lots that are using the -12 time zone, a never ending battle with spammers...:(
