Registration Closed? Help !

My Forum has suddenly developed a wierd problem, no one can now register...it is turned on in the admincp to allow new registrations, but when someone, including myself tries, it says
"The registration of new users is temporarily disabled."

Anyone any ideas why this would happen?

And also, which table in the database controls this function? I could then see what it says in there.

Cheers in advance.

What hacks have you installed lately, did you do anything that altered the vB in any way?

Very weird. I've got no idea at all, maybe ask at vBulletin.com they might know why this happens without modification being the reason.

have you got this hack installed??? https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=103988
as this shows the exact same thing "The registration of new users is temporarily disabled." if so so your user is trying to register from the same IP

That is exactly what was causing it....many thanks.

Strange though how it suddenly kicked in like that.....or at least it appeared to, the people getting it must have already tried to register or already were registered. Maybe the error would be better reading "You have already registered for an account ehre" or something similar.

Thanks anyway for the help.

Paul.
