[Spam protection] Limit new threads / new posts on usergruop basis - request for 3.5
 

Hi there,

my forums have a high saison from only a few days. In these days everybody is registering, and then writing writing writing without searching before. We have almost 20.000 new messages in only a few days.

I would like to limit new threads and posts per day or per hours on usergroup basis. New users in a "New usergroup" should be only allowed to post, say, 3 messages per day.

There are two hacks which do this exactly for vB 3.0:

Is there a hack/mod for vB 3.5.x or is this already a feature of 3.5 (I don't have upgraded yet)?
