members can edit subject showed on threads list

I want to know how to give permission by members (usergroup) to edit the subject of the message showed in the showthread list?
I requiere hacking as well

I am looking for a way to do this too -- it seems to be the only option that I *can't* give users via permissions.

Thanks, Stefan and Bastien. I got the jist of it before I wrote the message. I just wanted to make sure I was on the right track with the translation. ;)

And Stefan, you could have translated it into german and I would not have understood that any better than i did the french version. And I took french in high school. Too many years ago, I guess. ;)

that's standart in vb, just there is a timelimit you have to set up in your vb options

The problem with that is that there doesn't appear to be a setting to allow unlimited time (0 in this field stops the title being changed at all).

Any ideas?

I would ideally like to only apply this to one forum, but I could live with it working across the board.

just enter a very high value, for example the timelimit on vborg is 3 months, if you make it 1 year or more it's nearly unlimited :)
