what portal/index is the best?

im looking at turning my whole site into a new design thats vb oriented and backened.

which of the portal/index hacks are the best?

I'd reccomend vbhome_lite - it has a very low query count which is perfect for high traffic site.

If you want a portal which has calendars, modules etc go for VbPortal

vBHome(lite) is your best bet, as it is the easiest to modify:)

vbHome Lite does have a calendar addon.

This question is asked every day. Why don't you try and search for what you want before you post.

Wow. Thanks. :)

There is also a small update to the code there. You might want to change it. ;)

Vb portal has a silly / cildish design.
Phpnuke is a little bit better. But too much options.

vbHome lite is a very nice solution.

So does vbulletin useing the default style...

lol it uses vbulletin templates... just make your own design. Or contribute and download one of the 10+ templates you can see on there dev site. Or buy a template from vbskins since they now have converted most of theres to also work with vbportal (latest beta).

forumsinfo: Silly and childish? I don't see where you get that from. It all depends on how you setup teh skin/theme for it. I use vbportal and it has been great. I tried php-nuke, myphpnuke, and postnuke... vbportal is way better than all of them.
