Chris Padfield recently released DeskPRO, his own software for managing customer sales and support tickets, directly from your web site.

I've had the pleasure to use it for quite some time now, and with all honesty I must say it's absolutely fantastic.
It has everything you will ever need.

Not to mention it's very cheap compared to other programs of its kind.
And now, for a limited time only, you get to save $100 when ordering it.
Only one week left, so get to that ordering page and do what you know you need to do.

Of course he uses vBulletin for the support forums, so here's another reason to stop by! ;)

Seems like a great program ... although $795 (even with the $100 discount) is way out of my budget bracket

It is an excellent helpdesk script (much better then the others out there), and well worth the money for the amount of time it saves in helping your customers :)

Wouldn't this be very valuable for a hosting company, and dealing with trouble tickets?

yup, that is one of the targets of the software, however the email interface to it also means that any site can use it. You can remove the web bit for users if you wanted and have your users using it like a normal email system but allowing you to organise and manage your email a lot more effectivly.

Great tool, but it's a bit pricey, even with the $100 discount... However, it's cheaper and better than the other programs that do similar assignments... If I need it some time in the near future, you'll see me bying it :)

chrispadfield 12-02-2001 11:05 AM

Just wait till 1.1 comes out next week. Even the software that costs $25,000 a year won't be coming close in feature set :)

I think the word "aswome" can describe how I feel about describing your tool :)

<a href="http://www.wonderdesk.com/" target="_blank">http://www.wonderdesk.com/</a>

$499.00 . Used by VenturesOnline and a host of others. Much cheaper. More money for the SQL version though.

rockergrrl 12-17-2001 05:04 PM

But WonderDesk doesn't even come close to having all the features that DeskPro has. Believe me!

Last year I bought off a WonderDesk license from a friend of mine, and didn't like it at all.

I've been using DeskPro for a little while now, and I absolutely love it!!

Chris did an excellant job on this!

Funny how wonderdesk is still seen as standard, there are a lot of better competitors to my product than wonderdesk yet it is still the one people quote. But for a comparison have a look at www.deskpro.com/compare.php (oh and venturesonline won't be using it much longer).

Yes I would have to agree 100%, DeskPro is so much more powerful and much easier to use then wonderdesk... and congratulations, looks like VO will be a DeskPro user very soon huh? :)

chrispadfield 12-18-2001 09:05 AM

no, unfortunatly not. they have been developing an in house version that links with their billing system and a few other things for the last few months. I think they liked it but have already invested quite a lot in their in house version.

Hooper 12-18-2001 12:42 PM

Hi Chris,

I use neither. I also congratulate you on your product and wish you the very best at sales. I haven't had an opportunity to try your Demo on your site but I wouldn't mind looking at the differences in the products. I'll try to do that later.

The obvious difference though is the $300.00. :D

Hooper 12-18-2001 04:14 PM

I had a chance to look. All I can say is wow. You indeed have features that I wouldn't think would exist in a support desk. Chris do you have any ideas set in motion for future promotions? If so, do you have any ideas as to what your promotions may consist of?

Very nice work.

chrispadfield 12-18-2001 05:02 PM

No plans for future promotions at the moment, but if someone wanted to order between now and Christmas i could extend some christmas spirit and keep the $100 discout avaliable, just contact me for details.

There are some nice new features in v1.1 which I am trying to get finished today/tomorrow.

c-pr0mpt 12-20-2001 07:29 PM

Yes I love this software. Ya know what the most obvious way to see that deskpro is better than Wonderdesk is? Head over to wonderdesk.com and post about deskpro. Ask for a comparison and you will see how quickly it gets deleted. (Speaking from experience). Then go to deskpro.com and ask for a comparison or questions regarding the two and you will see instead how quickly you get an answer.
