Public Ignore Lists on User Profile by BOP5
1 Attachment(s)
Want to stir up some drama on your forums? This mod will display the ignore list for each user on their profile for all the world (forum) to see!
As of version 1.3 there are now settings. You can enable/disable the mod and activate it for all or specified usergroups only. If the user has any members on their ignore list a new profile tab called "Ignore List" will be visible. If they don't have anyone on their ignore list there will be no tab. Live Demo (No registration required): http://www.juot.net/forums/member.php?u=1302 Please Mark as Installed if you use this. :) This will work in vBulletin 3.8 and 3.7. It will NOT work on 4.x. Untested on other versions. Notice: A query is generated for each user on the ignore list. If your users only have a handful of people on the ignore list this shouldn't be a problem but if you have users with dozens or even hundreds of people on ignore I don't know how your server would react to so many queries at once. I suggest you check out this mod: Ignore List Denies Reply to Thread for more ignore list fun. :D Full instructions in .zip file. Note: See Post #17 for a version that works with secondary usergroups. |
Reserved.

Any plans to add this supported for vb4?
|
Eventually. I've never tried to add a tab in VB4 so not sure how long it will take.
Edit- Actually I just got it working on VB4, will be releasing it shortly. :) |

Is it possible to make it so that only certain user groups are able to see who's ignoring who?
|
Yes, I plan to restrict this by usergroup in the next release. Were you thinking a way to only allow certain usergroups to see who was ignoring who (like mods) or only allow users to see ignore lists of certain usergroups (like mods/admins wouldn't have their ignore lists visible but registered users would)?

I was thinking of allowing certain usergroups like Mods and Paid Subscribers the permission to view ignore lists of everyone. So basically if you're a Registered User you cannot see a persons ignore list but if you're one of the X,X,X groups you can. Thanks for sharing! |
Yeah, that was what I was thinking too... I'll work on that, should be ready in a couple days or so.

I have upgraded the mod to version 1.3 - You can enable/disable the mod and activate it for all or specified usergroups only.

Any way this could be tweaked so that one could type in a user name (or a postbit dropdown or something) and see who is ignoring that person?
|
No way of "tweaking" this to that, the way the data is stored is by the username who "owns" the ignore list- it would be completely different code to search the other way around.

Still, great mod. Thanks! :) |
The approved usergroups is only for primary groups it looks like. Any chance users in Additional Usergroups could be added to work as well. We're looking to make this part of the Community Supporter group which is subscription based.
Or perhaps we're doing it wrong? |

For now I have edited it to work with secondary groups as well and am uploading this alternate version in this post. You should find it works as you hoped. Eventually I will update the main version with an option to select primary or secondary groups. Import as normal, set allow overwrite to "yes." |
You, sir, rock.
Thanks! |
Not working on 3.8.2.
If I click on a member's page it looks just as pre-install - but with this line across the top: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '&', expecting T_VARIABLE or '$' in /homepages/38/d286750516/htdocs/forum/member.php(463) : eval()'d code on line 4 Hope you can help:) |
Do you have ANY other mods installed? This is the same code I run on my 3.x forum without issue (and everyone else who installed this mod) so it would be very unusual to have a parse-syntax error.
However if *ANY* mod running on that page has a syntax error, ALL mods will be broken until it is fixed. If you have other mods try disabling them 1 by 1 until the error goes away. |
