What is vBulletin-Carplate:

With this addon you can create little car plates within your forum and even allow the use of it in other forums (with advertisement).

Installation

- !!! always create a backup from the database of your forum !!!
- upload files within folder 'upload' to your server via FTP.
- set chmod '777' for following directory:

• /vbcarplate/userplates/

- import 'product-vbcarplate.xml' in admincp
- check usergroup rights
- import wanted carplate types in admincp under 'vBulletin-Carplate' -> 'Manage carplates'
- do the settings under -> 'vBulletin-Carplate' -> 'Settings'
- done

If you dont use TMS you need to do the template modifications manually, check the '/templateedits'-folder for details. The AddOn doesnt work properly without those changes.

What you could try is to delete the lines within the product:
and try to generate the datastore out of the tools in admincp then.

In the US there are Car Plates (License Plates) for each State... And most States have multiple Plate formats... Could easily reach 400 plates just for the US.

Yeah, I read about that. I was trying to do a test with the acual NY-plate. It worked fine so that might be a base for creating the most important plates for the US.

Would you be able to modify this to make it a country flag instead of a license plate?

I have been searching for something for 4.0.6 to display flags for each user.

Thank you for your offer. I had a look at ALL those plates for every province. They are all correct. With only 10 provinces and 3 Territories those plates could be added?

How do we help? you need pictures of plates to add them?

Also, it set for postbit and I am using postbit legacy so its not showing there.. it shows above and under signature only

When viewed on RTL, the layout is not lined up ... The especially if there are 3 boxes

LTR

the labels are fine, however, the three boxes are separated 1 to far right, 1 in middle of page and 1 to far left

This is awesome! As soon as you get JDM (Japanese) and U.S. Spec plates i will be installing. Please hurry because i really want this mod! :D

I fetched the plate and those few chars for it (as i didnt find the complete fontset).

What I need for plates from the us and canada is the plate itself and the fontset. The rest can be done with the addon already.

Vossi, I don't have the fontset, but there is a site with the plates from the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Well its been a few years and no reply. It looks like this mod is dead. To bad I would have loved to see this updated with US plates.:D
