audio player in a pop up

This is a work around for another hack I tried to use, daveaite (Coder/Designer) but didn't like the way it cut of the music when you go from one page to another so.
its simple HTML that uses the sidebar block option. the text files are for either forums with or without /forum/ in their root directions are in the first post of this mod |
simply upload the new files to your root directory. then goto admincp/forum and moderators/ then forum blocks manager
Now add new block select block type: custom HTML/PHP title; Music player description: what ever you want active: YES ]content type: HTML Content : ADD the code here from the text file that fits your setup SAVE that all you now have 5 buttons in sidebar that play a ton of music Alternate install You can create a new forum category but you will have to enable html in that category. and then go post the code into thread ,then close the thread and the forum this give better control over the players html and permissions. you still upload the folders with the files but instead of making a forum block and all that just make new category for the Buttons check it out here |
Works great on 4.0 too, thank you.

heres a pic to show how to add or change your playlists
you would have to make an account of couse |
this is sick... Installed :)
|
Does this still only allow your playlist (so everyone on your site has the same one), or does it allow individual users to upload their own unique playlists? thanks.

you can find any music you want from this site. its pretty amassing, so while this is a redundant addon, now you could enable HTML in your site and people could paste their own code into a post. But HTML has its own issues when enabled. I have made a setup that has 5 different buttons and they have about 200 songs per player so that's 1000 songs in 5 category's, will post it later |
Very Nice Works great..
|
I like this, but a few of my out-of-country users can't access anything. Bummer.

Is there a reason I can't see this mod at all on the demo site?
Thanks :) Regards, Badger |
I installed some new mods and was trying out some new stuff :>
found a way to post them in a category link check it out here just have to enable html then i close the thread and close the forum makes a nice setup if you want more info let me know. I guess i will install that mod and link back to the demo :> but i like this better |
once you play with this a wile you can go to playlist.com , make an account and make your own play lists.
I made the pop up windows a size that if you just make a new play list and snag the code from the embedding share tool. you can easily just replace my play lists with your own, and any one can make buttons :D so play with it and create your own play lists for your crowd. its so easy every site should have music . i really like the buttons in the thread instead of sidebar, people xouldnt find it and you had no real control over permissions. have fun |
is there a way to stream radio from a url? it would be much help if you could tell me because i want to make a web radio station for my forum.
