Why do bots love it so much?

I hope this Bots doesn't have an Ego programmed :D

Someone mention locked threads. *show's the red card to lasto* your outta here *points to the touch line*. :p

@ Iogames: Would that be like a increment of the anatomy? a head visiting the community lounge perhaps? whilst the legs are viewing the mod area?

Don't worry. If it does, we'll make a plugin to eliminate egotistical bots!

They come about because they same small set of people hijack every thread and start making sarcastic comments about the site/staff etc. This one will no doubt join the closed list for the same reason pretty soon. We are no longer tolerating it.

Ah, that's why there's so many bots in this forum, because they same small sets. I'd imagine that it takes quite a few bots to do that. It all makes sense now Paul, thanks buddy.

Good to hear Paul. I am quite frankly sick of seeing all the digs, sarcasm and general crap coming from particular members. I'm surprised you have put up with it for this long :)

Gio~Logist 11-22-2008 06:45 PM

Looks like someone wants a cup of coffee :p

I only drink tea ;)

Shelley_c 11-22-2008 06:55 PM

yorskshire tea like tea used to be? Perhaps dean.... *holds pinky in the air* you should really try the coffee from the latte cup. The vending machine (I hear) does some strange and wonderful things, although whispers around the circuit tell me there's lingering side effects that cause memory loss, gaining a 6th sense & the abilty to think outside the box bring in both morale, humour and all the wonderfull emotions you can compare in being human.

It's baffling really.

if this board actually listened to its members when problems are arising then maybe things would`nt be like what they are now.No one intentionally sets out to upset anyone but when threads get locked for no reason then its easy to see why people get upset.
This board needs to be more transparent and be seen to listen to its members and helping out when problems arise instead of the usual closing threads rule which is in place.
I done a thread here : https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=196684
and it got closed like any other thread on here does. But the thing is,nothing was solved once again - That is until someone else brings the same problem up and it will be closed again.Closing threads is not solving the problem its just brushing it under the carpet.
As admins you should be looking at ways of trying to help members out but it seems thats what is missing on here at the moment - no one can be bothered so we`ll just ignore it and hope it will go away.
If someone is having a dig then maybe they frustrated at how things are on vb.org,esp when they need help and no one seems to care.

Dean C 11-22-2008 07:06 PM

You are assuming that everyone agrees with the problems lasto. The reason the threads are getting closed is because people here can't be respectful of one another anymore or partake in a discussion without getting sarcastic or making snide remarks.

Ultimately vBulletin.org is here to provide vBulletin customers with modifications for their forums. I think it serves that purpose very well :)

Shelley_c 11-22-2008 08:15 PM

Dean, several months ago you were bickering with the people that run this site and you clearly broke the golden rule by posting sensitive information what goes on in the staff area in public view amongst other things (you being ex-staff). What I'm saying is, it's all to good pointing the finger when 10 are pointing right back at you. Oh, and that is not respectful to your working colleages :)

I totally agree, which is why I am closing this thread.
