Ibproarcade new thread on highscore
 
This should work with any version of ibproarcade..

This will make a new thread only when a member bets anther members score...

Step #1
Upload the lang_Arcade_en.php:
arcade/lang/lang_Arcade_en.php and over write the old file..

or you can just add this to your lang file...

Step #2
Import the product-newhighscorethread.xml file..


Step #3
Go into your admincp >> vBulletin Options: IBPro Arcade Thread on New Highscore

Add: Under which exisiting Username will post the New Thread.

Add: The User ID who makes the Highscore Thread

Add: In which Forum will create a new Thread.

Reply Allowed ? (open/close Thread) Yes or No..

Click (Save)..

Step #4
Now go bet someone elses score to see the Thread..

Havent downloaded yet, looked at demo site.

Can you get it so, it published the highscores into its own forum thread?

Yeah I like to have it as a reply in a thread then a new thread all the time. Having a bunch of junky threads seems like so much of a waste.

Exactly.

So in essence, set a new forum up, called forum high scores ( for example )

Then as a new high score is achieved, it writes the result into that forum. As a thread reply, rather than new topic.
This I would think would be more attractive ( especially on non-arcade only sites )

Any help, greatly appreciated, installed all your other gear so, know you can do it lol

Mine was working, now it's not.
Strange. I moved it to another forum and it works. Move it back and it doesn't.

You need to bet someone elses score...
This doesnt work by betting your own score..

Yes.. it's working :)

Didn't do anything. It adds a post when a score has been over taken.. I installed a new game and was the first one to get high score and it didn't post. But all is good.

it seems to be working but when it posts the thread it doesnt do it to any forum. i put the forum number in the appropriate area. Then when i click on it it tells me i dont have permisson to view it? huh, what am i doing wrong?

Installed and working great...just one thing, in the thread that's posted, at the bottom of the high score info there's a link to my board like so:

New Thread or New Post Arcade Master Avatar

I created an avatar image for my fake member who I termed "Arcade Master". He posts the new threads using this mod so he needed his own avatar!

Thread Links Target?

QUESTION: How can I edit the code in this mod so that the links to the game high scores or to play the game do not open in a new window? I need the targets hard coded into the links in the new threads because in FF or IE depending on browser settings the links are always opening in new windows.
