vb.org @ 3.7.0

i'm wondering, why vb.org isn't onto the latest release? maybe the upgrade is planned? when?

only curious guys ... :p

Boofo 05-17-2008 02:43 PM

Here we go again. ;)

Lynne 05-17-2008 02:44 PM

vb.org is heavily modded. I'm sure they have a test site in development where they are trying out 3.7 and remodding their mods to work. They'll put it up here when they are ready. :)

King Kovifor 05-17-2008 02:54 PM

vBulletin.org will upgrade once it is ready. This may be as long as necessary as those recoding the modifications aren't paid to do this job and have real life commitments to attend to.

Paul M 05-17-2008 03:21 PM

It will be quite a while before we move to 3.7, there is no hurry.

nexialys 05-17-2008 04:12 PM

guys, why do you continue answering this bloated question over and over?!... simply close it and relate it to the announcement, the guys will learn to read stickies.

Hasann 05-18-2008 02:37 AM

I have that before asked !!! answer is when it's ready...

Guest210212002 05-18-2008 03:53 AM

There's a few running 1.x.x too!

cheat-master30 05-18-2008 11:11 AM

And a few running vBulletin Lite after like, 10 years.

Baldilocks 05-18-2008 11:11 AM

Just goes to show you how ahead of it's time it was.

Jase2 05-18-2008 11:17 AM

Any links ? :p

Looks like it's running vB 2.2.9.

It's Number 13 on big-boards. 69,531,574 Posts

Ennold 05-18-2008 02:31 PM

2.2.9 looks so basic to what it is now. The 3.6.x series has been my favourite.

Baldilocks 05-18-2008 08:57 PM

3.0.x looks identical to 3.5 and 3.6 as well.

Jase2 05-18-2008 09:18 PM

The 3.x series has its own feel, that is intended of the developers. The same for 2.x.

Baldilocks 05-19-2008 06:39 AM

Yep, can't wait to see the 4.0 look & feel.

If it's pure CSS based, I swear I will fly to Canada, overthrow the government and anoint Nexialys king.

Baldilocks 05-20-2008 05:38 AM

Upgrading should be loads of fun..... :)

SA is actually running a heavily modified version of vB. Apparently close to 90% of the code is SA dev created they are merely required to keep the vB footer due to legal agreements with Jelsoft.

Baldilocks 05-28-2008 11:43 AM

Well, no post numbering is one of the things I remember about the older versions. :) (Much like SMF, WowBB, phpBB2 still are today.)
