eaccelerator or xcache
At the moment we are running eaccelerator, but keep on hearing good things of xcache.
Which is the best and why? Hopefully looking to improve server response and reduce page load times. |
:) I Believe Xcache is doing more good
|
xcache, u can put vbulletins datastore into it.
|
I just installed eaccelerator last night... don't notice any difference.

Works but only with php 32 bit files. And i have everything 64 bit. That's a shame thei don't have 64bit.

I would say XCache. Stable and fast, never had a problem with it. I use it along with lighttpd.
|
eAccelerator + Memcache datastore has been our choice for quite some time now. We haven't used xCache much although it does seem to run well.

http://eaccelerator.net/wiki/InstallFromSource if needs be I can post the basic steps I took. |
No one has mentioned apc.
So I will :) Works with php 5.x as well, and benchmarks close to xcache, and supports datastore and will probably be bundled by default with php real soon now. |

If you click any of the first 3 links in my sig, you'll see how quick memcache is with eAccelerator. |
