Animated Tach Statusicons
 

Here are a few animated tachometer icon's for automotive forums.

To install, just ftp these to forums/images/statusicon and select overwrite..that's it.

I added a shift light per request. You will find with the animated tach for new forums, that the needle still move's and the shift light work's in green. Then i changed the forums old so that the shift light flash's to red. These change's are in the Tachlight zip file.

I installed it on my board and it's a little difficult to distinguish between old and new with just the needle moving. Any way to show a blinking green shift light for new and a blinking red for old?

If I'm not asking to much ... could you also have a set for a dark background? The dials now have a little white sparkling around them and I'm not sure how to fix that myself unfortunately.

The area around the tach, like i put in this attached image? If so, what color are you wanting?

That's what I meant yeah, and if possible I'd like a plain black background. That would make them blend in just perfectly at my site.

Those are pretty nice! I think I'll stop the flashing on the forum old icon though.. lots of animation and flashy stuff on the page might be overstimulating :P

pretty cool... like what was said above, is it possible to keep the animated needle but not have the flashing green or red, just have a solid green or red instead?

Just download the images in to a free animated GIF editor... it should be an easy update.

Anybody have any luck getting the animated tach status icons with a black background? I tried editing in PSP and had poor luck and the animation quit working as well so I gave up. I sure would like to use them for a site that has a black background.
