An articles hack, take a look at v3articles to see the sort of features.

A journal hack that works with php 5 and mysql 4.1.14

Private and Public Events that have their own thread and an RSVP list.

Members can invite others to their Event via a link in the Postbit or Profile dropdown.

Events "area" (forum) shows public events and Private Events that members have been invited to.

Etc.

I'd second the one that Kall mentioned since I could use probably use that.

I'd love a hack that sets up e-mail accounts for users when they register, and creates a Webmail UI. Actually, I'd give up the second if I could get the first, there are lots of Webmail programs you could easily plug in.

The thing that I would love nearly as much is for someone to do CommBull right. I never got it to work without intensive manual editing and the developers are not interested in any further improvements. I give them credit for being honest, but I also gotta think that a really first-class product would get something rounding to 100% usage.

Actually -- a real admin-generated update, not just newsletter/subscription routine, should be part of the core.

MediaWiki is going to be quite difficult, although a bridge available for Invision Power Board bridge seems to accomplish what seems like seamless integration to the user. I'd be happy with good PMwiki integration, though.

Really, there's enough RPG hacks. I think a GOOD Wiki integration hack could end up being one of the most popular.

I would also like a wiki bridge :D

I don't know if this is difficult Hack or not or how much interest others have in this, but...

I'd like the LAST page of each thread to display the last X (preferably set in ACP) number of posts. This way you can scroll up and always have those posts visible without having to go back and forth between the last two pages when there are only a couple of posts on the last page.

I've actually made my own article addon as I'm integrating page with vBulletin. It's not using the post table but it's own with full caching, categories, article pictures and stuff. If someone is interested I may release it as a public addon :p

Sorry I've not replied to your email but I'm quite busy on puting new page live and some live match projector things have to be fixed asap. Anyway, back to thing.

1: That is _temporary page_ and that article system is not what I was talking about.

2: The one I've been talking about has following features:
- posting them via acp in wysiwyg mode,
- option to enable/disable comments
- option to publish or save as draft
- date/updated info so your users can see which articles have been updated recently [it offers option to change link color on the article list or add [Updated!] text (it can be changed via phrase system).
- comment of the day where you can set interesting comment to be shown in all articles (or only the one where it was posted).
- similiar articles
- unlimited pictures for each article with description and author switched like on CNN.com (via these << previous | next >> buttons)
- storing pictures in db/filesystem to be used in articles along with dateline, description, keywords, thumbnail and autor).
- option to set article as "headline" for which you can specify bigger photo and intro text (like on CNN.com -> breaking news)
- author is a text field so you can type whatever you want (with your username as default) but userid is saved too.
- source/based on fields.
- article rating, unlimited number of assigned categories (each of them can be parented).
- you can disable comments globaly in some category or in whole system
- new bitfields for users (canpostarticles, canuploadphotos etc.).

Basically thats it.

edit: I forgot about posting articles only for specified language. I'm administrator of the European football club and a lot of foreigners visit us so we have to post also articles in english but that would be stupid if also polish users would see them. So you've a dropdown where you can select a language of the article. I'll add some screenshots of ACP as I've to slice layout asap too :/

How about a Groups hacks where member can create there own groups and others can goin but permissions based. Kinda like myspace groups and then an option where you can see all the groups that are currently created and stats like most used, recent post, newest group and so on.. Unlimeted gorups of coarse
