Fake Community Statistics
 

Due to the recent announcement of Internet Brands telling they are suing XenForo, I decided to immediately stop updating my vBulletin modifications, because I am not supporting this action.

Version history for those who want to know:

Version 0.00 -> for vBulletin 3.0.x (was never released)
Version 0.01-0.06 -> for vBulletin 3.5.x (released as stable)
Version 0.10 -> for vBulletin 3.6.x (released in this thread as beta)
Version 0.20 -> for vBulletin 3.6.7pl1 (updated .zip in this thread)
Version 0.22+manual patch -> for vBulletin 3.6.11 (updated .zip file in this thread)

Floris, how much did you have to change?

Just a rebuild + new options to select and tried to get things working. The next update will hopefully fix the little issues of options not working. I just have to do too much 3.6 support on vBcom right now to look through the index.php file :)

I was only wondering how much different converting an old hack would be to convert it to 3.6 since I have hundreds of hacks installed. :/

Most hacks from 3.5 will work on 3.6.

due to the update build stucture of vb3.6 xml files it will not work.

i wish vb would just put a manual for things that have changed in vb 3.6

The 3.5.stable release is still there .. the same code/features (for now)

You might want to edit the part in the first post that says this is for 3.5.4 :)

There was a slight bug in this on mine when I had it on 3.5. When a new user registered, they showed as online all the time along with my fake users. When I clicked on whose online, obviously they weren't showing.

Would that prevent them from logging in?

That's not a bug :) Working as designed.

yeah, it's just the xml build in vb3.6 adds info which causes sql errors on 3.5.x

@Wordplay you should just be able to add it as you do. i am currently working on this for the 3.5.x version

ok, BIG ERROR, Either a) i did somethng wrong or b) bad things are happening:
The max users online is updating to the timenow whenever you load the page. So it says and then it says on the same page at the 9:55am Any way to stop it from doing this?

is there any way to expand the forum where the fake posts are located? I mean on one site I have like 20 forums and all have 40-50 and one has 2000.

Is there a way to distrubute them through out the forums so it looks like all the forms have activity?

It would in theory be possible.

It works on vb's what's going on, but not on vba stats or whos on line.
when I try putting in $fakenames $activeusers it doesn' work.

what am I doing wrong?
do I have to do a files to include or in the templates used for a module?

Thats not to helpful, Yes it is possible and you do kind of have to include,It's plugin not a file though.

i will wait until i can use it on 3.6.0 gold with all options. thx man :)

Hello all,
I just installed this mod on VB 3.6.0 but its not showing me this screen fcs_2-8.jpg
after installation and modification of templates i went to Plugin & Products -> Product Manager and edited Fake Community Statistics.. this must show me second screenshot of this product.. but all i see Edit product Dependancy.. etc.. can any one tell me how to setup its options.. and also its showing me UserA, UserC and UserB.. that means plugin is working.. but i am doing something wrong
