Great idea.
/me will install and download soon enough. |
Thanks let me know if you have any problems with it.
Derek |
lol, Yes there is a problem, I added everything yet, There is no search logs under stats.
|
This could get quite big on a busy forum. Interesting idea, though. ;)

LoL, it's not there indeed :D |
*nice*
|
i don t see it either.
|
I'll take a look when I get back from school.
Thanks, Derek |
good idea derekivey, before installing the hack are we also able to log queries from guests ?
|
That's a great idea but will probably slow down the server load.

Also to all of you who think it will have much of an effect on the server load, I think it wouldn't. It just executes one query when every they do a search, the query just inserts a row into a table, so it shouldn't have much of an effect... Derek |
I have fixed the bug with it not showing up in the Admin CP nav. The cpnav xml file was incorrectly named. Please upload the attached file instead to the includes/xml folder. The zip file has been updated too to include the new file.
Thanks, Derek |
Looks nice, will it be possible in the future to show stats for most used queries and such ?

Yup I am planning on adding that to the next beta release.
Derek |
any news already ?
|
It's not done yet. Sorry, I've been so busy with school work. I will try to work on it soon.
Derek |
Cool, I really like the stats :)
|
Thank you derekivey
This is really great! :D Install;) |
Is there any sort option like sort the log by username? and clear log option?
|
That hasn't been added yet. It will be in the next release. I can't give an ETA when the next release will be, but it will be soon.
Derek |
Hi, great hack!
One question: Very often I don´t find anything under "query". Can´t believe that so many people don´t fill in a word they are searching for. Maybe a bug? |
I'll have to take a look. I will get back to you on this.
Derek |
They most likely haven't entered anything into the search. It could be spiders or something doing it maybe. I am going to release a new version soon and have it not log the blank ones, to prevent it from wasting server resources and because that is useless logging blank queries lol.

No Problem :)

Hi Derek,
After pruning users search results I receive the following: Quote:
|
Just ignore it for now. It looks like I forgot to add that phrase. I will have it fixed in the next version.

thank you for this mod! |
Question - which searches does this log, i.e. does it log everytime someone does a getnew search ?
|
Nope it doesn't look like it logs the getnew ones. It just logs regular searches.
|
Good, it would be very bad to log every getnew, I might take a look at this then. :)
|
Thanks for creating his hack derek.
Will you be porting it to 3.6? |
Should work fine on 3.6, but I haven't tested it. I will see if it does once I get some time.
Derek |
I installed it on a 3.6 gold and it works fine, no problems installing and no errors when looking at the results either.
Thanks again, awesome hack! ;) |
No Problem :).
|
is this 3.6 complaint ?
