Version 2.5
Fixed small bug with the stats page. Added the ability to have the score and rank images display in a separate line when default setting is to not have the thread title in every post. The following files have changed: - postrankstats.php (please re-FTP to your server) - product_postrank.xml (please re-import with 'Allow Overwrite' selected) |
got it to work... voted MOTM!
|
Right so I've been asked to replace every mention of 'rank' with 'donk'.... don't ask.
is this an easy one? |
Yes it is easy...
Since everything is phrased you can either change it in the product itself if you open it in a text editor and then re-import it, or simply search all phrases via the admin control panel for the word 'rank' and change it that way. |

ok one more question - can the collapse low ranked posts option be set to on as default for all users without it being forced, i.e. they still have the option to turn it off again? |
Yes, you can run this SQL query to set both hide and highlight on for all users:
for both: UPDATE postrank_useroptions SET highlight_post = 1, hide_post = 1 for collapse/hide: UPDATE postrank_useroptions SET hide_post = 1 for highlight: UPDATE postrank_useroptions SET highlight_post = 1 |
thanks for that, but i only have postrank_useroptions for users who've already modified their options?
|
pete_brady,
if you have MySQL 4.1.0 or higher: INSERT INTO postrank_useroptions (userid, highlight_post, hide_post) SELECT userid,1,1 FROM user ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE highlight_post = 1, hide_post = 1 |
great, thanks!
|
We have a little problem.. after installing and setting up the values i tried to vote some posts.
Unfortunately that doesn't work. After clicking 2 times (about 20 seconds between the clicks) on the + oder - button they turn grey and nothing happens. Any suggestions? |

Is it possible to add rating system like "thread rating" with five stars for each post?
|
Can this be integrated into the reputation system? If so, can you make it so we can manually change the values for each + or - ?
|
When doing a search by rank:
PHP Code:

suggestion: An option to disemvowel low score posts?
|
Doesn't seem to be working... when I click + or - it turns grey and nothing is counted?
I'm using 3.8.1 Patch Level 1. |

If you deactivate statistics in the profile/postbit the horizontal line is away. Is there a conditional false? and have a wish: Can you also set the the settings "hightlight/hide posts" per default (without query) - if we give the user the option to decide by himself in the cp. Thanks macindy |
Possibly backwards compatible with 3.6? :)...please tell me it is lol.
|
Support seems to be gone after 18 pages..too bad, this was very promising. I would have loved to use this.

How Would I Go About Moving The Add/Minus Buttons From The Current Position To A Position in PostBit?
|
Installed and using!
Thanks |
Thanks ... I Love This One
Great Work  |
Very good.
;) |
FullyTested, are you done supporting this mod?
|
I installed properly and checked my postbit and all the hooks are in place. I am running 3.7.0
The +- options do not show on any of my posts. Can anyone tell me what to check next or how to determine if something is overwriting the hooks? |
Hmmmm, I noticed that the template is being inserted only in posts that have been deleted. I moved the hook location around in my postbit_legacy and no matter where it is, the +- options will only show when the post has been deleted.
Any ideas? |
Trana, I think you're moving it to an area that's into a if=deleted post.
|
How user can learn which own post ranked? I dont mean highly or highest. I mean every post whic ranked?
|
Could there be consideration to add automatic promotions to usergroups based on rank and post thanks? This would help me automate more of the site and not have to weed through crap posts, but rather let the user community decide. As a result, the user who receives a certain rank based on thanks will get upgraded/promoted to a new usergroup (such as a private usergroup).

Can someone tell me how to edit the color of the "View Stats" in the postbit?
I would read through this whole thread to see if it was already posted, but 19 pages is a lot to read through. Thanks. |
Great looking alternative to the other mod out there! One thing that would make this useful and inspire forum members to do more, is to implement promotions with this mod. Otherwise, I don't see too much value to the member.
Thanks! |
Hello,
where user can get the link to the stats page postrankstats.php ? is the stats update intantly , or need cron to update it? Thank you |

*EDIT* My apologies. Due to issues unrelated to the quality of this mod, I had to uninstall it. I'll leave my requests open because I still think they would add to the mod for people who can still use it on their forums. Thanks.
Hi FullyTested, A couple of requests I would GREATLY appreciate! 1) Would it be possible to add an option that would allow the names of users to appear underneath the post who voted positively or negatively? I'm mainly wanting this for those who vote positively. For example, on my board we've been using the "Thanks" mod: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=122944 The thing about that my users really like is seeing the names of the people who thanked them. If I could get this mod to do the same when someone rates it positively, I wouldn't have to have both installed and there would no longer be any redundancy. At the same time, it would make sense to also allow the names of those who voted negatively to be displayed, too. I'm not sure if I would want this for my board necessarily, but I'm sure others might. If it's a pain in the butt to do, I understand. If you're willing to do one or the other, please allow the positive votes to be displayed by name underneath the post like the "Thanks" mod. 2) Would it be possible to allow users to change their vote? Say I vote a post positively by mistake. It'd be nice to be able to still click the negative button, thus switching my vote to what I meant to click on in the first place. If that could be done with AJAX, awesome. But if not, it'd still be pretty helpful to be able to do it after a page refresh. THANK YOU! |
is there a way to make only a specific forum's sort-order by the highest post-rating?
also, could anyone help to get the postbit postranking option to appear on the CMPS news so people can + or - a new post on the frontpage of a CMPS? |

ie.. if the post has 5+ and 4- votes, it'd show +1 (or whatever). Something that'd give users some general idea how their post has been thought about, if it doesn't have enough votes to change the 'status' of the post from neutral. |
