ok, i was able to follow the patch instructions and get this mod patched and installed on 3.6.5 with the ishop mod. since most of you will not have any idea how to follow The_VarMaster 's patch instructions, i have attached the two patched files:

Download the original hack, then download these two files and put them in the proper locations below.

\upload\installer\class_installer.php
\upload\installer\hacks\rpg_integr_hack\install.ph p

You can see this mod working on the role playing forum i am currently working on:
http://www.myrpforum.com

Are you sure that is legal to publish patched files without code's owner's permissions?

CyberSpatium 05-14-2007 04:51 PM

don't know, i was just trying to help people out who would not understand your patch instructions.

The_VarMaster 05-15-2007 06:57 PM

This is NOT instructions. This is a complete patch for `patch` program in *nix/BSD. If you have contact with *nix you must can use it (i don't think, thats all peoples in forum uses hosting on M$ windoze).

Is this mod compatible with vB v3.6.7 ?

-edit-

guess not.. i got this error:

Invalid SQL:

SELECT MAX(phrasetypeid) AS max
FROM vbforums_phrasetype
WHERE phrasetypeid < 1000;

MySQL Error : Unknown column 'phrasetypeid' in 'field list'

The installer is not compatible with vB 3.6.x.
But CyberSpatium made a fix to it. The files are located on the previous page.

that fix doesn't work out for me :-)
although I used the version of Cyberspatium since i have no idea how to create that patch:-)

Code:

Database error in vBulletin 3.6.7:

Invalid SQL:

ALTER TABLE `administrator`
        ADD `rpgadminperms` INT( 10 ) UNSIGNED NOT NULL DEFAULT '0';

MySQL Error  : Duplicate column name 'rpgadminperms'
Error Number : 1060

Just tried that patch and got:

Code:

Invalid SQL:

ALTER TABLE `vbforums_administrator`
        ADD `rpgadminperms` INT( 10 ) UNSIGNED NOT NULL DEFAULT '0';

MySQL Error  : Duplicate column name 'rpgadminperms'

:( any fix please?

Is there a way to bypass this step in it? It was on 4/10..

-edit-

removed that in phpmyadmin and ran the installer again.. got a couple more errors so then I removed them and tried it again and eventually got it to work..

All it was.. was because I tried to install it earlier before finding out about the patch so some of the mysql had been added.

-edit 2-
Is there a way to improve bots? They seem to only be able to use fists which makes their accuracy not that good and their damage even lower. So like my bots rarely ever manage to hit me, and when they do manage to.. I only get damaged for like 97 damage.. yet I'm hurting them for close to 1,000. O.o

Also is elements not currently setup or something? I notice it in admin cp.. but elements is no where to be found to select for your character on the rpg itself.. so hmm I dunno.

-edit 3-
Also it seems level requirements for items, weapons, etc.. in the itemshop doesn't work. I have an item set to like level 50 for the requirement.. but a level 7 member was able to purchase and equip it.

This rpg system seems pretty good, but it needs to be fixed up and improved more.

When is the PP system going to finally get used as well? =P

Got this reinstalled finally, anyone have any suggestions for values for dmg and level req on the items?

koby411 05-23-2007 05:43 AM

When I edit my clan.. and add new allies or enemies.. Only the first ones listed get shown..
and it also gives this error when I submit:

Warning: in_array() [function.in-array]: Wrong datatype for second argument in /clancp.php on line 642

Kingzor 05-23-2007 06:44 PM

@Koby411, looked at the code and saw that enmy isnt transformed from a string->array so on line 632 you should fine
PHP Code:

$ally explode("\n"$ally);

After that line add
PHP Code:

$enemy explode("\n"$enemy);
