You need to input the usergroups that you don't want to be able to see the chatbox.

Admin> Settings> Options> VSA-Chatbox

Then look under permissions.

Just set Options>Permissions>Usergroups NOT able to view ChatBox> to exclude Guests.

cant get the post_new.png and post_old.png to display in the chat box causing an alignment issue in chat.

IS there a way to change the background color? My site uses a custom background and because the chatbox is transparent its very hard to read. I've looked through the templates but cant find anything. And I cant find any of the css for it. Help!

Yes you set that up in the options for the mod. The developer has made a great options screen to allow and not allow usergrougs ids to see, or message the chatbox.

Any updates on this or other people seeing this? Today we got 4000 users stuck in the chatbox. Guests can't chat but still get stuck as being shown online in the chat room for hours.

We don't have the chat showing on any page but it's own tab.

I had this problem when i first installed it but I just made where guest can not see the chatbox and the problem went away.

Is anyone succesfully using this with 4.1.2? When I install this mod, or MGC, I get fetch_template errors. I believe the Mod doesn't support 4.1.2. Anyone?

That is exactly the same error message I am getting. The guy says he fixed it by disabling a mod, which is unfortunately the only thing I can do when I install these mods.

I'm disappointed that it seems to be working fine for others running 4.1.2, that means it's something wrong with my forum I guess :(

I'm not %100 on how to make this specific to one forum. It says something about comma separated THIS_SCRIPT locations, I'm just not sure what this is (I'm quite noob)

I believe people have figured that out. But it's buried in this thread somewhere. Please remind us where when you find it.

I don't think it can go in a specific forum. The scripts mentioned are what you see up in your URL bar. e.g. right now it's 'showthread.php'. An important noob reminder: Don't use a chatbox on a shared server - too much load. Configure it as a shoutbox instead (logging users out quickly).

As I just said not a dozen posts before yours, no. I can understand not wanting to read 1600 posts, but at least read the first and last pages of a mod you're thinking of installing. Anyway, a private forum is probably better than a private chatbox for staff.
