Works great except it gives the [replacer a] error and kills any banner adds that have the keyword to link in them. Not sure if you uploaded a new one yet or not but I had to disable it until it ignores keywords within a code.... bbc or html.

doraj 05-05-2010 01:28 PM

Hello Martin, congratulations for your Mod, it's excellent.
I have this situation for you; I am testing your Hack and I use last version of vBSeo.
As default settings, vBSeo - Seo Functions -Internal rel="nofollow"s has:

1) Add rel="nofollow" to ALL Sorting Links (Yes)

Quote:

Enable this option to prevent search engines from following links to pages with the same content, but sorted differently. These pages might be tagged as "duplicate content". Therefore, we recommend enabling this feature.
2) Add rel="nofollow" to ALL Dynamic Pages (Yes)

Quote:

Enable this option to prevent search engines from following ALL dynamic links. Some examples are: 'Post Reply' links, 'Quote' links and 'Quick Reply' or 'Search' links. These pages have non-relevant (or "noise") content which should not be indexed by search engines , resulting in better SEO.
3) Add rel="nofollow" to Links pointing TO Member Profiles FROM Postbit (Yes)

Enable this option to prevent search engines from following links to member profiles found in posts.

4) Add rel="nofollow" to Links pointing TO Member Profiles FROM Forumhome (No)

Enable this option to prevent search engines from following links to member profiles found in your Forum Homepage.

----------------------

Now, if I leave this settings and I try to create a new auto linker keyword with your Hack I have this, from a source code of a page:

Example word : CMS

<a rel="nofollow" onclick="replacer_hook(1)" target="_blank" href="http://www.mysite.it/">CMS</a>

vBSeo suggest in the description of points 1 and 2 to keep enabling the option to "Yes" but in this way
each keywork create with your system has the "nofollow" tag.
According to you, what is best advice to resolve this situation?

Thank you

NNJJ 05-16-2010 02:47 PM

is it working for 3.4?

Xencored 05-16-2010 04:17 PM

Right the auto links bit looks awesome

I installed it and all my URL old rewrites are now bad to normal Vb ones?
What did i miss here?

DougJ 05-17-2010 12:28 AM

Hi,
I'm new to the forum world (owner instead of user anyway) and have a site that will go live in a month or so. I see a lot of reference to the SEO Forum and wanted to know if someone would educated me on what it is, what value I would get from it and if I really need it for my site and forum.
Thanks in advance!!

giorgino 06-19-2010 06:46 AM

This plugin is incompatible with 4.0.4. Fix please and upadate :)

What version is that? :D

jay5r 06-22-2010 11:38 AM

I installed the software and found that if the targeted text was in an existing link it would mess things up - the original link would be corrupted. I notified the developer of the problem and he said a new version was pending. Then I never heard back from him. I've contacted him twice and received no reply.

bnimbhal 06-23-2010 05:52 AM

I have purchased a Gold version from seoforums.org, but when I installed it I found that the version is not a brand free.

I posted a complaint on their forum and its being more then 10 days but no reply form their side.

Your Purchase No.: 67

Kindly remove their link form Vbulletin.org

oddmud 06-24-2010 09:58 PM

Any update on this so it'll work in v4.0.4 PL1?

schlottkej 06-25-2010 05:52 PM

kills 4.0.4...

HorizonWebs 07-05-2010 03:30 PM

we have a slight issue, we need to have keywords such as sleeves an sleeve that would both link to the same link

however when done we get the follow results in a post

For those that have used both: is there a noticable difference between these two poles at under 30 ft. I plan to put a hogshair brush, reach around and shark sleeves-covers.html">sleeve on the pole.

If you closed your eyes could you tell the weight difference? Could you see the slightly lesser bend in the wfp-s.html">gardiner-wfp-s/slx-poles.html">SLX at full length in use? Are the components much different in quality; couplings, hose?

schlottkej 07-10-2010 06:25 PM

Has anyone got this running properly on 4.0.4?

Beermonster 07-13-2010 07:29 PM

I would like to use this but will have to wait for a fix for 4.0.4

ukgamblingforum 07-19-2010 06:31 PM

I installed it and I'm not seeing the menu in CPanel ...

vb 4.04.

kharmer 08-06-2010 01:17 PM

Perfect, just what we wanted - BUT.

Getting 'Fatal Error', running vB4.0.5.

Fatal error: Call to a member function query_read_slave() on a non-object in C:\path-to-forum\includes\class_postbit.php(321) : eval()'d code on line 10

Doesn anyone have issues on the later builds of vB 4.0.x?

No errors from the admincp, just the front end throws the above error.

Would be interested in purchasing the gold version if it gets fixed for latest versions of vB in time for a our launch.

Uninstalled for the time being.

kharmer 08-09-2010 07:55 AM

I've fixed my instance of this; here's how (vB 4.0.5).

> Go to vB admincp
> Navigate to 'Plugins and Products' -> 'Plugin Manager'
> Under 'Product : SEOforums.org SEO Link Replacement' click the 'Replacer main' entry
> In the 'Plugin PHP Code' box, change all occurrences of '$vbulletin' with '$this->registry' (4 occurrences in all)

Thats it.

Hope this helps,
Kris...

porschegruven 08-15-2010 07:49 PM

That worked wonders for 4.0.7. Just figured I'd let everyone know.

jmw 10-03-2010 05:17 AM

Does this work with 3.8.4? Never mind. Vbseo has this feature I just found out.

MOGmartin 10-08-2010 11:59 AM

UPDATE - 8TH OCTOBER:

I have uploaded a revised version, please reinstall the upload files, and re-import the XML (allow overwrite = yes).

This release fixes:

the replacer_a bug when links were embedded in other links...
Added Support for other language encodings.

As always, support will be given on seoforums.org where I spend much more time.

thanks everyone,

MOGmartin

Code:

Warning: preg_replace() [function.preg-replace]: Unknown modifier '1' in [path]/includes/class_postbit.php(321) : eval()'d code on line 113
and then in threads all posts where replacements would be, there is no post text at all.

are you using a custom skin, and if so does it work with the standard templates?

Braincrusher 10-14-2010 08:58 AM

Any way to use this plugin only for guests, not logged in members?

MOGmartin 10-14-2010 11:23 AM

not at present, but if enough people are interested I could add that.

Nope, the templates are all pretty standard. Maybe vbseo is conflicting?

mine is fine, with vbseo - I will check with the coders and see if they can give me a quick fix

ARPRDcom 10-15-2010 08:46 PM

I get the problem with the replacer_a on post that is using the BBCode such as Glow. It looks normal on other post but any post using paypal button or those BBCodes it messes up...
