Still having trouble getting the mp3's to work and these types of address's:

Insane Society URL
http://www.insanemustangs.com/forums/social/p_tests

but my main address works: http://www.insanemustangs.com/forums/social/index.php

and this would be the mp3 addy of the song i uploaded: http://www.insanemustangs.com/forums/social/music/1.mp3

and this error when i try to upload an mp3: Warning: chmod() [function.chmod]: No such file or directory in /home/******/public_html/forums/social/incfiles/edit_band_top.php on line 287

I am using this addy in my cnd_config file ../social/mp3 and nothing uploads there.

I then tried to add a background song and i get this error: Warning: chmod() [function.chmod]: No such file or directory in /home/******/public_html/forums/social/incfiles/edit_prof_top.php on line 196

I also set you up as an admin on the social/index.php site........

hotwheels 05-15-2008 11:04 PM

okay, after 10hrs of testing and reinstalling.......i have to take a break......whew.

If anyone runs into this problem, most likely it is the size's allowed with php. On hotwheel's site the post_max_size was set to 8M but the upload_max_filesize was set to 2M, so the page thinks it can upload a 8M file but it would fail. Make sure they are both set to something that is useable.

The program is working pretty damn good...........I do have a couple more questions if that's okay?

1st) On the events set up, I am still getting an error when i try to post an event:

Event Title: 20th Annual Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup June 12th-15th 2008
Location: Steamboat Springs Colorado
Start Date: Jun 12 2008
End Date: Jun 15 2008
Description: "THIS SEEMS TO BE WHERE THE PROBLEM IS", when i put something in here, and submit it, all i get is a white page with the words: MYSQL ERROR and nothing else. If i do a test without dates, it seems to work okay........

So, if i were to use the vbulletin calander for as the event schedule, what would i need to do to set it up so it takes me to a new window? Would be nice if the event link would open another page, so you will still be on the social page, and you can close the events calander when you are done looking at it........Same with the forums link, if that is possible..

I really appreciate your help dylan, this is an awesome program.............doug

In the admin area there is a selection for debug mode. Can you turn it on and try to submit the event again? It should give you a descriptive error. I would do it but I'm not getting an error when I submit one.
In the next version I'll change it so you can open the calendar/events/forum either in current or a new window.

hotwheels 05-17-2008 07:58 PM

schweet.............thanks dylan, i really appreciate the help.

Dylanblitz 05-18-2008 10:40 PM

No problem, glad you like the script. Let me know if you figure out what event error your getting.

blindmedia ltd 05-19-2008 06:55 AM

`im having loads of trouble

ive followe3d the instructions supplied but when you start the install it connects to the database ect... but...

when it gets to the forum integration part i select vbulletin and all i get is:

Invalid forum path entered. Please enter the correct path to continue.

now i have put in the correct path but it makes no difference what i put in so can you tell me what im doing wrong and why it insists that the forum path is incorrect

Dylanblitz 05-19-2008 02:23 PM

The only thing it's doing when you select vbulletin and put in the forum path is check that it can read from the config file.
So if your getting that error there's only a few things it can be. Either the path isn't 100% right, the config file was moved or the config file permissions are set that the script can't read from it.

If you want you can pm me the location of the script and I'll check it out.

hotwheels 05-30-2008 06:13 PM

hey dylan? Is there a way to set the program so you don't have to log in to it seperate from the website?

Not sure what you mean by separate from the website? If you login to my script it should log you into the forum as well.

hotwheels 05-30-2008 07:23 PM

how bout the other way? If you log into the website, and then click on the link to "mysocial" in the navbar, you will already be logged into mysocial.........If that makes any sense? Right now, i ran that update that put's all the users into the mysocial page. Currently the only way to log into mysocial is to actually go to my social and then log in.......would be nice if you went to your website, like www.insanemutsangs.com and logged in to the site, then all you had to do was click on the mysocial link and you are done........no fuss no muss.

hotwheels 05-30-2008 07:24 PM

I think alot of my users are unsure how to log into the program, do to the email log in, where if they were already logged in from the main website, it may help people use the system....

Dylanblitz 06-03-2008 06:31 PM

The problem with doing it that way is I'd have to modify the vb code and I'm trying to stay away from doing that. As it is right now my script doesn't touch vb code at all.
I can see what I'd need to do though to make it work though and see how plausible it would be.

Can you check and see if your profile pictures are being stored in your database or the filesystem?

AdminCP-->Avatars-->User Pciture Storage Type

King Fly 06-08-2008 08:15 PM

lol i would tell you if the cnd login file didnt make it so i cant log into the admin cp lol

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: get_cnd_login() in /home/content/k/i/n/kingfly008/html/forums/includes/functions_login.php on line 219

King Fly 06-08-2008 08:20 PM

There is a file called cnd_login.php in a separate folder in my zip. You need to upload that file to the forums/includes/ directory for the function to be there.

Okay, right now it's only setup to sync up the images if they are stored on the file system. I'll tweak the code so it'll pull from the database as well. If it's ready before the next release I'll let you know.

Hey guys,

I installed script. Works perfect love every bit of it. I just wanted to know how to set it so in the navbar when you click forums it opens in the same window instead of a new window. I looked in header.php but couldnt find where to edit. My site www.traxxaddicts.com/social

Thanks,

Do me a favor, in the admin area Setup Variables, set Debug Mode to On and try and sync the user pictures again. It should tell me what the error is and I can trouble shoot from there. By the way, if you have your pictures stored in the database and not the filesystem it wont work. I have to work on that part.

Figured that was it. Next version you should be able to update profile images that are stored in the DB.

traxxadd 06-20-2008 07:25 PM

Also when i was configuring the login files for the forum i was getting an error-in your read me file you had this
PHP Code:

if ($vbulletin->session->created == true AND $vbulletin->session->vars['userid'] == 0)
    {

// if we just created a session on this page, there's no reason not to use it

$newsession =& $vbulletin->session;
    }
    else
    {

$newsession =& new vB_Session($vbulletin''$vbulletin->userinfo['userid'], ''$vbulletin->session->vars['styleid']);
    }

and after the code i placed
PHP Code:

$cnd_login Get_CND_Login($vbulletin->userinfo['userid']);

So i checked to make sure i could log in and out but i kept getting an error so i removed that line of code and everything worked fine. The only thing is now if you log in on the forums it doesnt log you in on the C&D file.....What do you suggest

traxxadd 06-20-2008 07:27 PM

Also how do i change the message on the front index page that the visitors see. I tried editing the intro.php but couldnt find where to edit the message

The front page text, really all the text, button text included, is in the
incfiles/languages/ folder

The page is setup to be language independent, so you could take the english files, copy them over to another folder and setup another language by editing them for like spanish, french, etc

The front page text is in the file
incfiles/languages/english.php
scroll down for the text that starts with
define('MAIN_TEXT'

It's possible, not the best idea db wise though. If anyone wants to see all the members they can see everyone who hasn't dropped off the admin friends list by looking at the admins contacts.

I can put it in there and make it disableable (is that even a word? hah) in the admin area I guess.
