a) will this work with 3.6.4 ?

b) I dont need extra thread stats or members in numbers - but I could definately do with more "users online" so will this mod be able to work with that showing only users online? And how exactly does it make the users show offline / online? Using cron jobs?

I just need more activity at a given time lol but I am sure that will come with time

I like this hack! It's just what I was looking for- something to make it look a tad bit more active than it is, enticing more new members who might otherwise pass over a 'dead' site. Again, thank you for taking the time to make this hack!

ok i am having a problem now...

i installed the hack, but then, after my member's complaining, i had to remove it...
but now, the stat's looks something like this ->
i removed the template edit that was supposed to be done, and uninstalled the hack, but still the same problem...
any help?

Why would someone want fake stats for forum, as a owner. You would just feel **** knowing that its all a lie.

This appears to be essentially a 3.5 hack that doesn't work as advertised on 3.6

Logged in Users - DOES NOT WORK in 3.6
Logged in Users CSS - DOES NOT WORK in 3.6
List Newest Member - DOES NOT WORK in 3.6
Date & Time Switch - DOES NOT WORK in 3.6

And it breaks "Most users ever online" stat.

The hack does tell you this, but only after you install it. The snapshots above could (and should) reflect these limits, but they are taken from the 3.5 hack.

Hey guys Loving the hack I have installed but am I missing something.

I have added usernames to the field Logged in Users List

The user names show up but the Currently Active Users: is not showing that there are 6 people logged in, instead it says 1 member logged.

Can some one advise please as I would like to use this hack.

The history clearly shows there is no new feature added since previous version. And that does mean it still can't do what you want on a per forum basis. It clearly says: ONE forumid.

I noticed some people found that their most users online is off, version 0.21 will fix this, everybody before version 0.21 can apply a manual fix

Open the plugin:

find this code: and replace it with this code

The reason is, when you have more then 1000 users online, it will be 1,000
when you calculate it, it will be 1+x+y , instead of 1000+x+y. This fix removes the , and the . from the variable before calculating it.

the same applies to forums that have over 1000 in other stats you try to change with this. I think the hook placement is just very bad, or another hook should be placed somewhere further up in the code.

The hack is pretty good, but the fields "Amount of additional (fake) registrations" and "Amount of additional (fake) active members" are not working for me (vb 3.6.7). Another fields are working. Any suggestions?

That's very lame of them. Thankfully it is easy to determine who's using the mod, plus it comes with big-boards compliance.

The only few questions I have are:
1. Can the members in WOL be changed? Say there are 0 online and you add 30, can you make it jump around so it doesn't look too dodgy?
2. What if people question about the members? Some members might want to do the same and remain hidden.

This is nice to have I suppose but has it ever occurred to anyone that all a user has to do is open the forum with the fake posts in it and see that the posts aren't really there? Maybe if you could spread them out between 30 forums they wouldn't be so noticable but dumping them all into one is a dead giveaway that something's afoot.

Is there some technical limitation that prevents this from being done?

As I said in my post above (before I saw this one) dumping them all in to one is a dead giveaway, especially if someone were trying to add thousands of posts.
