I am not saying they are not important but the only thing you can really do is either change those words or increase the density of your other words.

Almost every forum I have seen has those keywords in high density though.

Thanks! For some reason /dbseositemap.php was not being accepted several days ago when I was trying to submit it. It worked now though. :)

My sitemap build stalls daily, it deletes all the files in store_sitemap and just stops. If I build it manually it completes the build. However I have to remove the session first "The sitemap is currently being built via the scheduled task. If you wish to build it manually, remove the sitemap session and try again."

Anyone have a solution to this?

You're probably running into PHP timeout errors of some description. I would recommend either reducing the amount of sitemap entries per page via the settings, or using the "sitemapcron.php" file from the do_not_upload folder :)

Question I have, how do I get that google authentication code? It's been a while since I worked on websites and I forget how to get that.

This has nothing to do with DBSEO, DBSEO closes all DB connections it opens.

On the page where it asks you for authentication, make sure your popup blocker is disabled so that the auth page can open :)

Hello,

I think you're right.

I uninstalled some old (deactivated) addons - now I have no db errors anymore.
I don't know what addon causes the error.

hugh_ 10-31-2016 07:39 PM

I'm having a problem with the paid version of your mod where I intermittently get the following error:

Fatal error: Invalid URL.

Please help.

Thanks.

Hi Dragonbyte,

is it after install the same url strukture like vbseo or will be redirect old urls to new urls? I think will be buy your Seo and professional installation in two forums. One is vbseo and the other is with Vbull frindly urls.

This mod can indeed import from vBSEO, which is a part of the Pro Install service :)

The vB friendly URLs should be redirected.

That's correct :)

Each license and each installation is valid for one site only.

Hello

I want to redirect all pages from http to https:

I tried this:
Code:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off
RewriteRule (.*) https://www.test.sps-forum.de/$1 [R=301,L]

when I delete the "s" from "https" from a subforum e.g. https://www.test.sps-forum.de/simatic it will not redirect!

so I can view both pages:

http://www.test.sps-forum.de/simatic (please open this URL and delete the "s")

https://www.test.sps-forum.de/simatic

only in subforums it will not redirect the pages

I also tried this:

Code:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} !^443$
RewriteRule (.*) https://%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [R=301,L]

and this:

Code:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} !^443$
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !=on
RewriteCond %{ENV:HTTPS} !=on
RewriteRule .* https://%{SERVER_NAME}%{REQUEST_URI} [R=301,L]

all same..

When you open this link it will not redirect to https:

http://www.test.sps-forum.de/sew-eur...uswertung.html

edit:

fixxed,

I had to activate"Force SSL" from my hoster...

dariyos 11-28-2016 08:24 AM

Hello,

now I run my site with php 5.4 apache.
my site URL is like this: https://www.test.de

My Hoster will make an php update soon. (php 5.6 CGI)

to test the site with php 5.6 I putted this in my htaccess file:

AddHandler php56-cgi .php

I get a redirection-error when I open the site in my browser.

When I deactivate this option dbseo settings, the site works normally:

Force Forum Directory Index
If yes, this setting will crop out /forum.php (or whatever other script name you've defined as forum root in vBulletin Options). This is useful if you've already built page rank for /index.php.

But now my site URL is like this:https://www.test.de/index.php

I dont want to display /index.php or /forum.php in the URL.

my .htaccess:
Code:

RewriteRule ^((urllist|sitemap_).*\.(xml|txt)(\.gz)?)$ vbseo_sitemap/dbseo_getsitemap.php?sitemap=$1 [L]

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !(admincp/|dbseocp/|modcp/|cron|mobiquo|forumrunner|api\.php|reviewpost/|classifieds/|photopost/)
RewriteRule ^((archive/)?(.*\.php(/.*)?))$ dbseo.php [L,QSA]

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !/(admincp|dbseocp|modcp|clientscript|cpstyles|images|reviewpost|classifieds|photopost)/
RewriteRule ^(.+)$ dbseo.php [L,QSA]

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off
RewriteRule (.*) http://www.test.sps-forum.de/$1 [R=301,L]

AddHandler php56-cgi .php

what can I do now?

cykelmyggen 11-28-2016 10:29 AM

If one should want to uninstall this plugin is there any special actions required regarding rewriting-rules?

Hello,

I've been instructed by mangement to investigate DragonByte SEO. I need to know if your licensing would allow us to install the product in a sandbox (devel.foo.com on the LAN) and then transfer it to the production box (www.foo.com) on the WAN after we get it set up correctly?

Hello, I recently moved my forum to a new server and when I turn on this mod I am told
"Hmm, we can't reach this page." in microsoft edge and

"The page isn’t redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies."
I was behind on an update so I just did that but still get the same thing. With the mod deactivated everything seems to work just fine.
Thanks!

You can install free version on as many sites as you would like, including test sites.

After you assure yourself that it works the way you want, you can apply needed changes also on live site.

And, pro version is more or less just like doing upgrade. If free version works, pro will work also. In case of bugs, you just contact DBTech, they would solve them.

Have you made sure to modify the .htaccess file as well?

Joehawary 12-05-2016 03:40 PM

I've noticed a lot of duplicate posts on my forum since using DBSEO and I've been doing research into the error logs based on the post times and have loads of entries exactly like this

[05-Dec-2016 16:26:35 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/*****/public_html/forum/dbtech/dbseo/includes/rewrite/thread.php on line 210

Please advise what could be causing this problem.

Thanks

Yes, I believe the only difference there is this part at the beginning...

Code:

# php -- BEGIN cPanel-generated handler, do not edit
# This domain inherits the “PHP” package.
# php -- END cPanel-generated handler, do not edit

The rest is what was on my .htaccess file on the old server.

adnedarn 12-10-2016 04:17 AM

More info:
I added the /forums directory back and still have the issue.

I ran a redirect checker and here was the result, I don't know what to look for though to fix it.
Thanks!

Problems found:
• Too many redirects. Please try to reduce your number of redirects for http://www.terraforums.com/forums. Actually you use 19 Redirects. Ideally you should not use more than 3 Redirects in a redirect chain. More than 3 redirections will produce unnecessary load on your server and reduces speed, which ends up in bad user experience.

That's a Pro-only feature, it can be edited in the Edit Thread menu.

It seems like you have a misconfiguration. Try turning off Force Forum Directory Index.

Thanks that does seem to get around the problem. Where should I look for this misconfiguration so I can solve it correctly?
Thanks!

I have just started up a new site and wondering once DragonByte SEO has been installed do I need to disable the existing sitemap creation considering it would then no longer be used?

Thanks!

Excellent thanks, just to confirm under
Scheduled Tasks > Scheduled Tasks Manager > Generate XML Sitemap

I selected 'Disable', is this correct?

You can turn it off from the vBulletin Options instead, I think disabling the scheduled task will undo it the next time you update vB.

To be honest I'm not sure, you can try the free Lite version to see for yourself :)
