I'm comfortable with it- so are all my members, and I can't justify all the time and effort it'd take to change.
there's no vb2-hacking-tutorial-intro anywhere? no one knows how I would get this to work, then? |
Not that im aware of.
What do you have now, that would be so hard to move into vB3? the only long process of an upgrade is rebuilding the search index. |
some custom hacks that users that're long-gone did for us.
that and I just like the idea of having a stable release that we can customize more than moving to something new that's going to require us to update all the time. you don't have any advice for learning how to do vb2 hacks? :\ |
Nope, i never even touched a vBulletin 2 board code wise more than 3 times, and i refuse to do vB2 work unless nessary (vBulletin 2 support at vB.com ;))
vBulletin 3 is at a stable release. and i highly doubt we will be seeing the same type of updates we saw with the Beta's RC's :) |
how would "hardcoding" it in work, as opposed to the first method?

sorry, like I said, I'm rather new to this...
could you walk me through it, or even send me in the direction of a script that works in a similar way? |
