lets not forget the terms of service agreement with vbb. every single warez board breaks this agreement and i know a few that have been shutdown becuase of the tos and the board using ways to get pirated softwares. so..hack away at the illegal boards cuz even if its purchased, that dont mean squat! :)

Well actually if you use the latest version of the lockdown, the quote option doesn't reveal anything. And it stops people from going to the site, and stealing links and putting it on other sites. Most sites can see users who only post replies, and they get banned after a while. I dont promote warez, just letting you know.

which exact part says you can't link to warez? because what i understood is you are not allowed to use it on a warez site or use it on a forum that links to a warez site which you are associated with. correct me if im wrong.

If any of you jerks think that this a-hole is proper at mentioning this type of activity, then I will report you all to the authorities ... including you FireFly!

You all know like I know there are other way to display you talents and other means to resolve issues of such. Not in a sense that you uphold so much of allegance to vBulletin and its intellectural property that you would allow a member to publicly mention that he would hack the intellectural property of a hosting company to delete a forum that runs illegal versions of vBulletin.

I can't believe this ... if any of you Mods and Admins believe that i'm wrong in my assessment, then I want a full return of my money back, remove my copy of your software from my company server and I will publically post this thread and your responses to all hosting companies (that I can find) of your acknowlegement of this hackers activities! :mad:

I'm sorry - where did FireFly or any other Mod say they agreed with this one member's comments? Jelsoft never has and I believe never will condone such activity.

As for 'allowing a member to post' this, we generally don't get too involved in censoring our users posts. Is it your opinion that we should more actively censor the post of our members? If so, are you willing to live with the guidelines we may choose in deciding which posts and members to censor?

But if you follow the thread, you'll see that this members actions were ignored over the subject of someone using a pirated copy of vBulletin. Your Moderator/Admin Firefly deliberately ignored his comment and continued show proof of the license agreement to another participant and never went back to correct this hackers comment about hacking hosting company servers!

I see also that the mention of this so called Lockdown hack is censored, and it doesn't come close the the legality of a hacker admitting on your forum to hacking intellecrural property computer systems to rid them of pirated copies of vBulletin. No law in the land will stand and justify with you or anyone else in that regard.

Steve, which thread do you think needs more Moderation (attention)? A hacker on your forum laughing and admitting to hacking hosting company intellectural property (servers) to delete pirated copies of vBulletin or a member asking for information about a Lockdown hack?

First and foremost, you, me and everyone else here NEEDS the hosting companies to be able to use this software. Now what kind of message do you think that sends about your company when you allow free speech as such to go on about this form of behavior?
