Login to your vBSEO Cp and disable vBSEO
Login to your Admincp and Browse to Plugins & Products
Uninstall vBSEO product file , on the next step you’ll be given 2 options
If you ever plan to install vBSEO on the same domain , choose Keep vBSEO data in Database
If you will not use vBSEO again choose Cleanup vBSEO Data
Delete/remove all vbseo files include .htaccess from your server via ftp or cpanel.

let me know how you go?

Terrablade 06-12-2014 06:02 AM

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE, expecting T_STRING or T_VARIABLE or T_NUM_STRING in /home/cracking/public_html/vbseo/includes/functions_vbseo_ui.php(236) : eval()'d code on line 19

ShawneyJ 06-12-2014 06:10 AM

what do you see after un-installing with those directions?

Terrablade 06-12-2014 06:31 AM

Worked like a charm UNTIL i deleted all vbseo related stuff from ftp.

From the error message it appears that you have not deleted all files from the vbSEO package. You must do that manually.

In @ShawneyJ's list: "Delete/remove all vbseo files include .htaccess from your server via ftp or cpanel."

@ShawneyJ - Thank you for giving him a hand with this. Very kind of you. :)

ShawneyJ 06-12-2014 06:37 AM

vbseo is a real pain to uninstall.

just to be sure, your .htaccess is empty ?

Terrablade 06-12-2014 06:37 AM

So I put everything back in ftp and site loads, but with the same issue that we started. So im going to install vbseo AGAIN lol and go from there.

tbworld 06-12-2014 06:39 AM

Why can't you just disable vbSEO, why are you trying to uninstall it? You may be causing yourself a headache for no reason. There is only two things I can see as a potential problem if it doesn't alter default key tables in vbulletin. The .htaccess files as @ShawneyJ suggested and maybe a bitfield.xml file if they have altered the default bit-fields in a weird way.

Remember: I do not run vBSEO so the wisdom you are receiving, is equivalent to how much you are paying for it. :)

Terrablade 06-12-2014 06:44 AM

Just dont like to have it there. This headache will end with some knowledge for the future :)..

Ok everything is back to normal. Uninstalled Vbseo from ACP.
Now I need to delete EVERYTHING i uploaded plus what? which .htacess
