Sorry, I am a bit busy today but if you still have this issue tomorrow I would be happy to log in and take a look free of charge. This is usually a simple issue resolved with a setting.

Did this issue just start happening?

No need to worry about htaccess yet. Chances are the issue is with your url setting though there are many steps to troubleshoot if that does not solve the issue.

What do you have under the site details setting for your forumpath, etc?

At any rate feel free to email me.

Sorry, I would have replied.... have been AFK.!

You definitely do not have your cookie domain set up correctly.

Since you allow users to login to your site via both http://www.yoursite.com and just yoursite.com, then you MUST have your cookie domain (AdminCP > Settings > Options > Cookies and HTTP Header Options > Cookie Domain) set to ".yoursite.com" (no quotes, but note the period at the beginning) or your users will have problems.

awesome, thank you Lynne.
Richie - if that doesn't work, I will email you again! thank you...

No problem. I try to figure out as many of these problems as I can because it helps me learn too.

I am sure Lynne's solution will work. I had mentioned cookie settings in my first reply and after that I just assumed you tried it. I should have been a bit more specific.

At any rate, if you need help let me know. It should not take more than a couple minutes.

Thanks

that did not work! Richie, if you sign up on the forum, can I then give you admin rights?

RichieBoy67 02-14-2014 03:34 PM

Sure, private message me and I will take a look. I am on a tablet right now with no power so I am limited with what I can do but I should be able to check the settings for you.
