Hmm...mine's different, don't know if it's the card model or the fact that I have Windows XP.

Maybe I steered you wrong - maybe it's not supposed to be done from the NVDIA panel in Windows 7.

Does this help at all? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/976064

thanks for help mate ive already done that. ive got it setup fine its just the taskbar is cut off on the HD tv and bits off the top and left and right. but cannot for the life of me find a solution to change just the resolution for the HDtv.

ill keep searching :P

I knew you had the two monitors working, but the bottom of that page seems to show controls for setting the resolution.

Anyway, good luck. :) Maybe someone else who knows will see this...

The problem is you're choosing "Duplicate display" - duplicate means an exact duplicate of your primary display, including resolution... Your TV isn't the same resolution as your primary display so you one or the other isn't going to look right... You need to "Extend" your desktop to the HDTV to use it at a different resolution... You'll have to manually drag windows you want to see off your primary display onto the secondary to view them...

Otherwise you'll need to lower your resolution on the primary display until it works on both.

i lowered the resolution to 800 x 600 and still didnt work lol

ah so i cant even have HDTV as my primary monitor then as i cannot get the resolution correct even when its set as primary and extended

Is your 32" TV 720p, 1080i, or 1080p?

Thug 12-18-2010 03:31 PM

1080p mate :)

BirdOPrey5 12-18-2010 04:03 PM

1080p should be 1920×1080 resolution... does you card go that high?
It should be your optimal picture...

When you said like "half" your image was lost, was it really half or was it more like 10 to 20%... 10-20% can be explained by "oversan" which is a different issue.

Thug 12-18-2010 04:48 PM

yes its my native screen resolution.
about 10% in total i would say
